Cus D'Amato was training boxers up until he died aged 77, he didn't have to get in the ring and box with them.

Surely that depends on who he is replaced with?

The board have made more mistakes than anyone - Slav has made some mistakes but this season he has had to deal with a lot as well, if they sack Slav I am done with them - it will be a massive step backwards!

This is an interesting point. Bilic has had the exact same backroom team (apart from Dicks, obviously) at every club job he's had and he's underperformed in all of them jobs.

Our fitness (yes fitness) coach is 70 for fucks sake. I thought this was a joke until I found out it's actually true.

Let's be fair, this has been a shit season.

Regardless of the next 2 performances, he should be sacked after the Burnley game. Can't have another season like this, I have never blamed the stadium, the Payet situation; it falls on one set of shoulders, Billic's.

Sky sports journalists are so fucking lazy.

They just sit in an office nicking shit stories from newspapers, easiest job in the world.

Re: Slaven Bilic's future hangs in balance - The Guardian
He's had one good season, and one bad one. During the bad season he has had a lot to contend with, but has also shown his own deficiencies. Slav needs to knuckle down and make some changes i the summer. I'm happy for him to start next season as our manager, but, the board HAVE to get this transfer window right, and that has to be done for the start of the season, we can't be flailing around in the transfer market come the end of August when it's likely we will be playing the first three games of the season away from home. If they don't get the transfer window right then they might as well sack him, as he will be a dead man walking.

Slav has nothing to worry about he's out coached Klopp 4 times already!
Surely the board wouldn't be leaking stories again would they or has a professional journo just sat down the night before and thought 'i know ill totally make up a story for tomorrow, the sub editor, sport editor and the main editor will never know'

Just announced on Sky Sports that they will be reviewing his position at the end of the season.

He's made mistakes, but he wasn't the one who made us move into that turkey.

If the Daves can convince a big name to come to the club, Slav will be shown the door. If they can't, they'll give him another year. Simple as that.

Spot on. Editor needed space to fill so went to the nearest West Ham fan working there and said to him 'knock me something up about the game Friday'.

It's pretty true in its content but to be honest as far as journalism goes its fucking turgid.

Re: Slaven Bilic's future hangs in balance - The Guardian
Sounds like an article any of us could have sat down and written

Managers job in doubt after disappointing season
Might get the sack if things don't improve

Sounds like his editor said 'Dave, Can you give me something about West Ham before Fridays game. I know they are shit so a bit of HYPOTHESISING about the manager will do'

No quotes. Nothing anyone hasn't already guessed.

But of course his future is in the balance given we are not even mathematically safe yet alone "progressing".

Re: Slaven Bilic's future hangs in balance - The Guardian
This is hardly breaking news is it, The board said quite a while ago there would be no talk of a new contract until the end of the season, even Sullivan said last season when some were wanting he got another contract before someone else (big club) poached him from us, that he would see how he went in a second season, words along the lines of one season wonder I seem to recall that got some wetting there knickers that Slav would take offence and leave.

Would imagine they will take injury’s and the move to a new stadium into account but if I was Slav I wouldn’t be too optimistic I would see out the final year of my contract let alone get another based on how we have performed and recruited this season.

It’s very much 50/50 IMO and a Win or loss to Spurs and/or Liverpool unless it’s a loss by a cricket score won’t be the pivotal reason he gets shown the door.
